Sebastian Lord is Evie's handsome

dynasty. His family banks on his marriage

plans for Sebastian & his life is dramatically
altered forcing him to live in danger & darkness.
REBECCA LOCKWOOD-LORD
The Lord family matriarch & widow of publishing
tycoon Albert Lord. She is Jacob’s mother &
Sebastian, Charlotte & Fabian’s grandmother.
Rebecca allows her superstitious and religious
convictions guide all her decisions even
if it costs someone their life. But she too
is more cunning than she leads on.
JACOB LORD
Rebecca's eldest son and Sebastian's conniving
Uncle who manipulates and twists his way into
positions of power constantly taking advantage of
his mother's superstitions for his own gain. He
has a daughter with Mary Goode & a son with
wife Celeste DeViana.
CHARLOTTE LORD
Jacob & Mary’s 14 year old daughter who
knows more about her family's dark past than
she leads on. As she has grown over the
series Charlotte turns from secretive child
to an assertive young lady who soon reveals
herself to be a force to be reckoned with
once she becomes aware of her own
powerful connections to the supernatural.
CELESTE DeVIANA-LORD
Evie's one time close friend and personal
Lady in waiting. Her life has been a constant
battle of choices between keeping in line
with the social structures of the time and
following her own path to happiness.
She & Filipe Braga break up their decades
long relationship when her affair with Jacob is
exposed. She and Jacob later marry and she
gives birth to their son Fabian.
FILIPE BRAGA
Sebastian’s childhood friend, Jacob’s one
time personal valet & Celeste's ex-boyfriend.
Filipe becomes a critical part of Sebastian’s
foray into the dark world of shadows. He
later becomes romantically involved with
Mary Goode; together they build a resistance
against the supernatural forces that

MARY GOODE
A former local Welshport barmaid with a
bad reputation thanks to her ex-Jacob’s vicious
lies about her. Mary's early obsession
with the Lord family run painfully deep
since her daughter Charlotte was taken
from her by Jacob. Mary’s mysterious
linage also adds to her mystique in
the village it’s revealed she’s the
daughter of a powerful witch.
DR. NIKOLAS JORDAN
Evie's younger brother arrives in Welshport
from England in Book2 at the request of their
parents hoping to find his sister happily
married. Unfortunately for Nik, he
discovers Evie living a hellish existence
of madness, terror and death. Later he
suffers troubles in love with
Alice Winterborn and soon
becomes a doctor at Hope Hospital
where he is romantically linked to
the troubled Asha Hoffman.
MATTHEW WINTERBORN
Welshport local fisherman who's been
hiding his ancestral secret abilities
all his life. As time passes, he begins
to find it difficult to keep his sister
Alice from using her powers and has
no choice but to let the cards fall
where they will. Later Matthew becomes
romantically involved with Evie forming
a complicated love triangle that includes
the hardened vampire Sebastian.
DR. ASHA HOFFMAN
Windcliff Sanitarium Asha later becomes
Welshport’s first female doctor with a
painful secret tucked deep inside her own
unhinged psyche. On the outside Asha seems
the picture of greatness but on the inside
she's yearning for sweet revenge.

Genevieve Thorne’s 14 year old son with
her late husband. Morgan moves into
Tirymor House and quickly realizes
things are not as they seem.
He becomes fast friends with Charlotte.
